I didn't understand the purpose at all. I took the mat to the beach, a bit skeptical, because I couldn't imagine that sand wouldn't get through such a mesh... and that's exactly what happened; I got up from the mat covered in sand. I really don't understand who tested this. Maybe I was on a beach with fine sand.

Maybe the mesh could be used for window screens.
