The AXAGON USB-C to 10 Gigabit Ethernet network adapter lets you connect a laptop or computer to a network, NAS, or 10G switch at speeds of up to 10 Gb/s. It features an RJ-45 port, Realtek RTL8159 chipset, Wake-on-LAN support, Energy Efficient Ethernet power-saving technologies, and a detachable 19 cm USB-C cable. The durable aluminium body ensures efficient passive cooling and quiet operation.

The AXAGON external network card is a practical solution for devices without a LAN port and for computers with slower Gigabit Ethernet. Connecting via USB-C provides a stable wired connection with low latency, suitable for fast NAS backups, transferring large files, working with video stored on the network, and home 10G infrastructure. The link speed is set automatically according to the connected device.

The adapter supports speeds from 10 Mb/s up to 10 Gb/s, including 1, 2.5, and 5 Gb/s. For the maximum speed of 10 Gb/s, a Cat 6A or higher network cable is recommended; a Cat 6 cable can be used for distances of approximately up to 55 m. NBASE-T technology enables speeds of up to 5 Gb/s even with standard UTP Cat5e cabling.

Practical features and equipment:

  • Wake-on-LAN support for remotely waking the computer using Magic Packet, Link Change wake-up, Microsoft WPD, and RealWoW!.
  • IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet power-saving mode and advanced power management.
  • Ribbed aluminium body with a fingerprint-resistant surface, passive cooling, and an eyelet for the included cord.
  • LED indication of activity and data transfer (green) and 10G connection (orange).
  • In Windows 11, the device works automatically after connection; a Realtek driver is recommended for maximum performance. In Linux, a driver is required for speeds above 1 Gb/s.
