Ottocast Ottosafe combines a front and rear dash camera with a wireless adapter for in-car infotainment systems. It is designed for vehicles equipped from the factory with a wired Apple CarPlay interface. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, a compatible smartphone connects automatically, allowing you to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto without a cable in the cabin.
The front camera records video at 2K resolution, while the rear camera records in Full HD 1080p. Loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest recordings, enabling continuous recording of your journey. Audio recording is also available and can be disabled, along with image mirroring and vertical image flipping. Live preview, photo capture, and management of saved files are available on the vehicle's original multimedia display.
Built-in Wi-Fi on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands enables connection to the cameras via the GoLook and OttoPilot apps. P2P / Wi-Fi Direct mode supports wireless OTA updates. The receiver remembers up to two most recently connected phones, and the multifunction Smart button makes it easy to switch between users, disconnect, activate P2P mode, or reset the device.
