The SFP BIDI A module is a practical solution for building gigabit optical links where the number of available fibers is limited. BIDI technology separates transmission and reception using different wavelengths, allowing bidirectional communication over a single single-mode optical fiber. This enables efficient use of existing optical infrastructure without the need to install additional cabling.
The optical module supports transmission speeds of up to 1.25 Gb/s and is suitable for connecting switches, routers, media converters, and other devices with a compatible SFP port. The compact Simplex LC/UPC connector simplifies cable management in distribution cabinets, patch panels, and network racks. The SFP design enables hot-swapping and easy adaptation of the network infrastructure to current requirements.
Important: The BIDI A module works only as a pair with the BIDI B module. Two modules of the same version cannot be connected to each other.
