BIDI technology separates transmission and reception using wavelengths of 1550 nm and 1310 nm. This makes it possible to create an optical connection over a single-mode fiber and use the existing cabling infrastructure efficiently.
The module supports transmission speeds of up to 1.25 Gb/s and is designed for single-mode optical links up to 3 km long. It is suitable for connecting network devices in offices, industrial facilities, and camera systems.
The metal housing with a practical latch mechanism ensures secure installation in a compatible SFP slot. The compact Simplex LC/UPC connector facilitates neat organization of optical cabling.
The SFP BIDI module is a practical solution for building gigabit optical links where the number of available fibers is limited. BIDI technology uses different wavelengths for transmitting and receiving the signal, allowing bidirectional transmission over a single-mode fiber. The module is suitable for switches, routers, media converters, and other devices with a compatible SFP port.
Variant B transmits at a wavelength of 1550 nm and receives at 1310 nm. For correct operation, this module must be paired with a BIDI module in variant A; connecting two modules of the same variant will not work.
