The SFP BIDI A optical module is a practical solution for gigabit network connections where it is necessary to make efficient use of the available optical infrastructure. BIDI technology separates transmission and reception using two wavelengths, allowing communication over a single-mode optical fiber. The module transmits at a wavelength of 1310 nm and receives at 1550 nm.
With a transmission speed of up to 1.25 Gb/s, the module is suitable for connecting switches, routers, media converters, and other devices with a compatible SFP port. The compact simplex LC/UPC connector simplifies cable management in data racks, optical distribution boxes, and network cabinets.
Important: The BIDI A module works only in pairs with a BIDI B module, which has the transmission and reception wavelengths configured in reverse. Connecting two modules of the same A version will not work.
