BIDI technology uses different wavelengths for transmitting and receiving data. This enables gigabit bidirectional transmission over a single single-mode optical fiber and helps make efficient use of the available cabling.
The module provides transmission speeds of up to 1.25 Gb/s for a stable Gigabit Ethernet connection. It is suitable for optical connections between network devices over distances of up to 3 km.
The Simplex SC/UPC connector facilitates connection to optical routes terminated with a standard SC connector. It is suitable for installations in distribution cabinets, patch panels and distribution points.
The SFP BIDI B optical transceiver is designed to create stable Gigabit Ethernet connections between network components with a compatible SFP port, such as switches, routers or media converters. BIDI technology separates data transmission and reception using different wavelengths, so bidirectional communication takes place over a single single-mode optical fiber.
The compact SFP design supports easy installation in compatible network equipment and hot-swapping. The Simplex SC/UPC connector is suitable for standard optical cabling, telecommunications distribution cabinets and distribution points.
Important: The version B module must be used together with the corresponding BIDI A module. Two modules of the same version do not work together.
