The Freewell Brandon Li Basic Kit for lenses with an 82 mm thread combines a variable ND filter and a CPL polarizing filter in one practical magnetic system. The dual control ring allows the VND density and polarization effect to be adjusted independently, making it possible to maintain the desired exposure while reducing reflections from water, glass, and other non-metallic surfaces. The black ring controls the VND, while the green ring operates the CPL filter.
The included ND32 filter extends the working range of the system from 1–5 to 6–10 stops. It can also be attached directly to the base ring as a standalone fixed ND filter with 5 stops of light reduction. The kit therefore provides a flexible solution for low light as well as intense sunlight without the need to carry multiple separate filters.
The magnetic attachment speeds up filter changes, while the mechanical rotating lock helps secure the module during movement. 18-layer optical coatings and True Color / Anti-Color Shift Layer technology are designed to reduce reflections and unwanted color shifts. The magnetic front cap also includes an integrated gray card for quick white balance checks.
