The Freewell Brandon Li Basic Kit with a 77 mm diameter is a practical filter system for creators who need to respond quickly to changing lighting conditions. The main module combines a variable neutral density VND filter with a range of 1–5 stops and a CPL polarizing filter. Thanks to the separate control rings, the amount of light and polarization intensity can be adjusted independently.
The black ring is used to adjust the VND, while the green ring controls the CPL filter. Polarization helps reduce reflections on water, glass, and other non-metallic surfaces, while also enhancing contrast and providing more accurate color rendition. The included ND32 filter extends the working range to 6–10 stops; alternatively, it can be used separately on the base ring as a filter with a fixed 5-stop light reduction.
The magnetic system with a mechanical twist lock enables quick and secure filter changes without lengthy screw-on installation. Optical glass with an 18-layer coating and True Color / Anti-Color Shift Layer technology is designed to reduce reflections and unwanted color shifts. The package also includes a magnetic front cap with an integrated gray card for quick white balance checks.
