The Freewell Brandon Li Basic Kit is designed for lenses with a 67 mm thread. The VND/CPL module uses a design with two independently operated rings: the black ring adjusts the intensity of the variable ND filter from 1–5 EV, while the green ring controls polarization. This allows you to adjust exposure and reduce reflections on water, glass, and other non-metallic surfaces independently of each other.
The included ND32 filter expands the operating range to 6–10 EV. It can be attached to the VND/CPL module or mounted separately on the base ring as a fixed ND filter with a 5 EV light reduction. The set therefore provides a flexible solution for moderate lighting conditions as well as filming in direct sunlight.
The magnetic system enables quick filter attachment, while the rotating mechanism ensures secure mechanical fastening. The optical elements feature 18-layer coatings and True Color / Anti-Color Shift Layer technology, which helps reduce reflections and unwanted color shifts. The magnetic front cap also includes an integrated gray card for quick white balance checks.
