The tester enables contact testing in the range of 70–250 V AC and non-contact detection of alternating voltage in the range of 70–1000 V AC. For quick orientation, it uses red or green LED indication.
In non-contact mode, it is not necessary to bring the metal tip into contact with the measured surface. The presence of voltage is indicated by a green LED and an audible alert.
