The SUNSUN HW-704B external filter is a practical solution for the effective maintenance of larger aquariums. Four separate filtration stages allow the filter media to be arranged according to the individual needs of the tank and enable mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration to be combined. The easily accessible pre-filter captures larger impurities, helping protect the other layers of filter media from becoming clogged quickly. Filter media are not included.
The integrated 9 W UV-C lamp acts on the water flowing through the UV chamber and helps reduce the growth of algae, bacteria, and other microorganisms suspended in the water. The manufacturer states an approximate lamp lifespan of 7,000 to 10,000 operating hours; to maintain its effectiveness, regular cleaning of the quartz sleeve and replacement of the lamp are recommended.
For convenient installation and maintenance, the filter is equipped with a manual pump for easy priming, a multifunctional valve with a quick connector, and rotating hose connections with a 360° range.
