SUNSUN HW-704B is a powerful external filter that can be placed next to or under the aquarium, and thanks to the 360° swivel hose connectors it is easier to install even in limited space. The large housing accommodates filter baskets for mechanical, biological and chemical filtration, and the prefilter helps catch coarse debris before it clogs the deeper media layers.
The system also includes a UV-C chamber with a 9 W lamp, which, as water flows through, helps reduce the occurrence of algae, bacteria and other microorganisms in the water column. The manufacturer states a UV lamp lifespan of approximately 7,000–10,000 hours; to maintain effectiveness, regular lamp replacement and cleaning of the quartz sleeve are recommended.
For convenient use, the filter is equipped with a manual pump for easy priming and venting, as well as a multifunction valve with quick connector, which allows the hoses to be disconnected without draining the entire filter. Rubber damping feet help reduce vibrations and a ceramic impeller shaft supports stable operation.
