The 60–64 GHz mmWave radar detects a person while sitting, reading, or watching television. Automations therefore remain active as long as the room is actually occupied.
Set up to 10 detection zones and monitor up to 6 people simultaneously. Lighting and other devices can respond only in the part of the room where people are currently located.
The compact sensor can be placed on furniture, attached to a flat surface, or mounted on a wall. It also supports 180° inverted installation for better adaptation to the space.
Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor uses radar operating in the 60–64 GHz band, allowing it to detect the actual presence of people rather than movement alone. It is suitable for automatic control of lighting, air conditioning, and other devices in homes, offices, hotels, or commercial spaces. Radar technology works without a camera, helping protect user privacy.
With support for up to 10 individually configurable zones, you can create automations precisely according to the room layout. The sensor simultaneously tracks up to 6 people, allows sensitivity and transmission power to be adjusted, and offers filtering of floor-level movement or ignoring small objects such as pets or robotic vacuum cleaners.
The built-in light sensor distinguishes between darkness, dim light, and brightness, allowing automations to respond to the current ambient light as well. The device supports Wi-Fi 6, Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth 5 LE, and Matter over Wi-Fi. The compact design can be placed on a stand, attached with adhesive tape, or mounted using screws and wall plugs.
