Pool water requires regular monitoring and correct adjustment of values to stay clean, clear, and non-irritating to skin and eyes. This test kit includes the tester itself and three types of tablets for measuring pH, free chlorine, and combined chlorine.
The ideal pH value is in the range of 6.8 to 7.2. With excessively alkaline water (from pH 7.8), mineral cloudiness, limescale, and other deposits may form, and the water’s irritant effect increases. Rising combined chlorine is related to the reaction of free chlorine with sweat and other organic impurities.
