The ProStar Profi 8 sand filter (formerly BlackStar 7) works on a simple, proven principle: water is routed through a filter medium (silica sand) that traps impurities, and only clean, filtered water returns to the pool. For long-term stable performance, we recommend regular backwashing at least once per week so that dirt does not settle in the sand.
The filter tank holds up to 75 kg of filter sand and is made of high-quality polypropylene (PP)—seamless, corrosion-resistant, and resistant to commonly used pool chemicals. The system includes a drain valve, pressure gauge, built-in internal components, and an easy-to-use 6-way valve integrated into the tank lid.
