The Modee solar mole repeller uses energy from the sun, which it stores in a replaceable rechargeable AA battery with a capacity of 400 mAh. During the day, the battery is charged via the solar panel and the device automatically activates after dark, so it works without needing to be connected to the power grid.
The repeller emits ultrasonic sound waves at a frequency of 400 Hz every 20 seconds, with each pulse lasting 2 seconds. The sound waves are not bothersome for people and pets, but they effectively affect moles and other animals living in the soil. Thanks to IP44 protection, the device is suitable for outdoor use and withstands common weather conditions.
For proper operation, place the repeller outdoors in a spot with direct sunlight for at least 6 hours a day. Installation near street lighting is not recommended, because the light sensor may evaluate the ambient brightness and switch the device off.
