Universal self-fusing vulcanizing tape, 19 mm wide and 5 m long, in black, for quick and permanent repairs. Thanks to the vulcanizing effect when stretched, it creates a strong, waterproof bond without adhesive. Offers insulating and sealing properties, resistance to chemicals, water, and UV radiation, dielectric strength 20 kV, and elongation up to 600%. Suitable for sealing repairs, cabling, and hoses in household, automotive, and industrial environments.
The self-fusing polyisobutylene tape is ideal for quick sealing, insulation, and protection. When stretched by approx. 50%, a vulcanizing effect occurs—the layers permanently bond without adhesive, creating a durable, tight surface. The tape is malleable, conforms excellently to the substrate, and withstands water, UV radiation, and chemicals.
It is suitable for use in automotive, marine, caravans, in electrical engineering and telecommunications (cable wrapping), and at home for repairing garden hoses and pool piping. It can be applied to most common materials such as PP, PE, rubber, PVC, and more.
- No adhesive – activates when stretched, leaves no mess.
- High electrical insulation – dielectric strength up to 20 kV.
- Exceptional elasticity – elongation up to 600% for tight wrapping and shaping.
- Resistance – chemicals, water, UV; operating temperature range from -40 °C to +90 °C.
- Universal use – sealing, protection, insulation, and temporary repairs.
Instructions for use: Remove the protective liner. Stretch the tape by about 50% and overlap the wraps to achieve self-fusing of the layers. Apply at temperatures from +5 °C to +60 °C. Warning: Not intended for insulating fuel lines.
