This polyisobutylene vulcanizing tape is ideal for sealing repairs on cars, motorcycles, boats and caravans, for cable bandaging in electrical and telecommunications applications, and for repairing hoses and pool system lines. The tape is not adhesive – when stretched by about 50% it self-fuses into a homogeneous mass, creating a permanent and watertight bond.
It features dielectric strength of 20 kV, elongation up to 600% and thermal resistance from -40 °C to +90 °C. It can be applied between +5 °C and +60 °C. It is compatible with many materials: polypropylene, polyethylene, rubber, PVC, butyl, neoprene, Teflon, steel, wood, plastics, glass, etc.
