Cascadia Junior is a streamlined version of the award-winning game CASCADIA, designed to be accessible for children aged 6+ and entire families. Players place habitat tiles, create connected areas, and try to form trios of the same wildlife icons. Successful combinations earn animal and habitat tokens, which they place on their panoramic boards to build their own wilderness scene.
At the end of the game, players reveal observation tokens and add up collected cones—the highest total wins. The game excellently develops pattern recognition, planning, and counting. For a greater challenge, add the advanced animal scoring cards, which require more complex shapes and strategies. Once children master this mode, they can smoothly transition to the family mode of the base game CASCADIA.
