Interior layout
The Volcano Expanse S MIDI chassis lets you arrange the interior so the PC truly becomes yours! At motherboard height there’s a dedicated area for installing either a cable shroud or a fan bracket. It’s up to you how you use this interior layout option. The shroud helps you manage cables and keep the case interior tidy. It’s ideal for those who like to maintain their PC in great shape and value aesthetics above all. If you’re building a real “gaming monster” and need the best possible cooling for your components, you can replace the tray with a bracket for three additional 120 mm fans.
On the gaming grid
The Volcano Expanse S MIDI chassis is designed with square-pattern panels. That’s why the “S” in the name comes from “square.” It doesn’t differ much from its design twin, the Volcano Expanse T Midi. We give you the freedom to choose the panel design you prefer—pick what simply looks best to you.
Easy!
Keeping your PC clean is very important. To minimize dust ingress, a quick-release dust filter has been placed at the front between the front panel and the chassis. Simply remove the front panel (no need to dismantle the entire front section) and pull out the filter for quick and convenient cleaning. Anyone who systematically cares about cleanliness, longevity, and functionality will appreciate this practical solution. Cleaning the front panel is a breeze!
No fans included? That’s good for you!
Cool operation of components is essential. It helps them work more efficiently and extends their lifespan. We give you freedom of choice. You can install fans from your previous case or buy ones that match your visual preferences. You have free rein to find the best solution for your needs. You can mount three 140 mm fans at the front and one 140 mm fan at the rear of the case. If you want even more configuration options, you can additionally install 3×120 mm or 2×140 mm fans on the top panel. Furthermore, on the motherboard mounting panel there’s room to install three 120 mm fans by fitting a special bracket in place of the cable tunnel. In total, you can have up to 10 fans!
The days of unscrewing panels are long gone. The Volcano Expanse chassis offers a pleasant, simple way to build the PC of your dreams with a smile. All panels are click-on; you don’t need any tools to remove them and install components conveniently. Want to add RAM sticks? Blow dust out of the interior? With a flick of the wrist you can remove the panels without unscrewing them.
Within easy reach
The USB/Audio I/O panel is placed on the top of the case, giving you convenient access to ports when the case stands under a desk. The panel includes 2× USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C port. There are also standard microphone and headphone jacks, as well as the power button and a fan controller.
Liquid cooling
The chassis is designed to accommodate liquid cooling. At the top of the case there’s room for a radiator up to 360 mm. A radiator of the same size fits at the front in place of preinstalled fans. The same 360 mm radiator can also be mounted on the dedicated motherboard bracket, with a maximum thickness of 52 mm. At the rear, there’s space for a 120/140 mm liquid cooler. The aim of these solutions is to create a true gaming machine for any game—within a robust, airy design.
Dust filter
A dust filter is located under the power supply unit. You can easily remove and install the filter to keep the PC clean and at the same time increase the performance and safety of the PSU and other installed components. It’s designed for easy installation and removal, aided by magnetic elements. The filter is accessible from both the front and rear of the case. Dust filters are also installed on the top and side panels.
Room for your favorite games
There’s no shortage of space for your favorite games. The case allows installation of two 2.5" drives on the motherboard tray. In addition, you can install two 3.5" drives in the PSU tunnel. With this much space, you can plan new game installations without worry.
Rubber grommets and Velcro cable straps
As befits a gaming case design, rubber grommets are used inside at PSU tunnel level. They protect cables from damage—especially the graphics card power cable. There are also Velcro cable organizers on the rear side of the motherboard compartment to keep the interior as tidy as possible.
Top-side cable management
Good cable management in the case is not only aesthetically important, it also contributes to better airflow. A special metal design element at the height of the motherboard mounting panel enables convenient routing and optimal organization of cables. Aesthetics and top-notch cable management are its middle name.
Ventilation
Good airflow is ensured by square ventilation openings on the top, front, and side panels. To reduce dust ingress, the front panel is equipped with a dust filter. Since the panels use snap-on mounts, cleaning the filters is very easy.
