The MCE468 motion detector is ideal for use in the garden, around the house or terrace, at the gate, passages, corridors, basements, warehouses, garages, and other places where lighting or other devices need to be switched on when motion is detected. The sensor distinguishes between day and night (twilight sensor) and switches on and off depending on the presence of an object in the detection field. A 180° detection angle and detection distance up to 12 meters enable effective monitoring of a large area.
The main purpose of this sensor is automatic lighting control, but it is also possible to connect other electrical devices (e.g., electric heating, air conditioning, etc.) provided that the powered receiver does not load the switch with more than 1200 W (resistive load) or 600 W (inductive load).
Various applications for controlling lighting of different objects:
The device can operate at night and during the day. The TIME knob is used to set the lighting duration (approximately from 10 s to 15 minutes). The LUX knob is used to set the sensitivity to ambient light (range from 3 to 2000 LUX). If the ambient light is insufficient and you want the device to work both day and night, set the knob to the day position (sun icon).
